Resident Stabbed After Confronting Burglary Suspect

A little before 9:00 a.m. on December 26, 2016, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call regarding a physical fight that was occurring in the 4900 block of I Parkway in South Sacramento.

Deputies responded to the scene and located a 52-year-old male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body.  Sacramento Metro Fire responded and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

The suspect entered the victim’s residence through a rear window.  The victim heard the noise and confronted the suspect who was armed with a screwdriver.  A physical fight ensued when the victim was stabbed by the suspect.  The suspect fled the scene on a BMX bike.  He was described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20’s, wearing a black beanie and a black jacket.  The suspect fled towards Center Parkway.
