January 14, 2013 Vehicle Occupants Sought for Information in Homicide Case Sheriff's Homicide detectives are seeking to identify the occupant(s) of a vehicle that was near the scene of a fatal shooting this past weekend. The vehicle (see attached surveillance photos) appears to be a light-colored, full-size, standard cab pickup. Detectives believe that the occupant(s) may have information that can be helpful to solving this case. On January 12, 2013, shortly after 3:00 a.m., Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene of a vehicle accident at 65th and 'S' streets in the city of Sacramento. It was discovered that one of the vehicle's occupants, a 20 year-old female, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Investigators determined that the vehicle the victim was a passenger in had been struck by gunfire approximately between 2:50 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. The shooting was determined to have occurred on Watt Avenue, near the Alta-Arden expressway. The pick-up truck in the attached photos is known to have been in the immediate area at the time of the shooting. It is not considered to be a "suspect vehicle" in this case, but detectives would like to find out if the occupant(s) witnessed anything that may be pertinent to the investigation into the shooting. Anyone recognizing the vehicle depicted in these surveillance photos is asked to contact the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering the keyword SSD, or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).Sergeant Jason Ramos,
