Teacher Arrested

On Wednesday, March 5, 2008, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Sexual Assault Detectives served a search warrant at the Grass Valley residence of 54-year-old Gregory J. Rayburn. Rayburn was arrested on a warrant for the following charges: (15) counts of child annoyance and (2) counts of sexual battery.

Rayburn was employed as a history teacher at Rio Americano High School during the 2006-2007 school year when the incidents occurred. The victims, two seventeen year old girls and two sixteen year old girls were all students at Rio Americano.
