Memorial Services Planned for Sergeant Kelley Lara

Sergeant Kelley Lara (09/21/65 – 08/06/09)

Memorial services have been planned for Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sergeant Kelley Lara who was fatally injured in a vehicle collision while on her way to work on Thursday, August 6, 2009. The general public is invited to attend both the viewing and the funeral service. The arrangements are as follows:

Viewing

When:	Wednesday, August 12, 2009 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Where:	Price Funeral Chapel 6335 Sunrise Boulevard, Citrus Heights

Funeral Service

When:	Thursday, August 13, 2009 10:00 a.m.
Where:	Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church 11427 Fair Oaks Boulevard, Fair Oaks

There will be no procession.

Sergeant Lara is survived by her husband, Sergeant Donald Lara of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, and four young children including triplets.   The Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association and its STAR 6 Foundation have set up a Memorial Fund in Sergeant Lara’s name through Exchange Bank.  Memorial donations can be sent directly to Exchange Bank or the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association; 1700 I Street, Suite 100, Sacramento CA. 95811.
