December 15, 2009 Two Suspects Arrested in Connection to On December 11, 2009, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives arrested two suspects for the June 22, 2009, murder of 26-year-old Sevon Boles. The first suspect, 26-year-old Dominique Lavance Givens, was arrested at his home in San Francisco. The second suspect, 21-year-old London Shaw (also a resident of San Francisco), was arrested at the San Francisco County Sheriff’s Department’s Custody Facility in San Bruno where he had been in custody on unrelated charges. The suspects were booked into the San Francisco County jail system (see booking photos below) and will be transferred to the Sacramento County Main Jail to face the charges of murder and attempted robbery. On June 22, 2009, at 10:50 p.m., Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding gunshots being heard in the apartment complex located in the 6700 block of Sunnyslope Drive. Deputies arrived and found Sevon Boles lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Arrest warrants were issued for Givens and Shaw after an extensive investigation by Sheriff’s Homicide detectives into the facts and circumstances of the case. Investigators believe the motive for the murder was robbery. The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department would like to acknowledge the role the officers assigned to the San Francisco Police Department’s Bayview station played in the safe capture of these two dangerous homicide suspects. In particular, we want to thank SFPD Homicide Bureau inspector Cagney and SFPD Violent Crimes Task Force inspectors Broberg and Chaplin.Sergeant Tim Curran,
