A little after 5:30 p.m. on December 29, 2016, detectives from the Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau located Jonathan Pierce,19, in Oakland, California, and arrested him without incident. Pierce was wanted in connection to the December 12th murder of 23-year-old Patrick Lee Domingo.
A little before 3:50 p.m. on December 12, 2016, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call stating there was a male bleeding from head in the 2100 block of El Camino Avenue (Beacon Gas Station) in Sacramento.
Deputies responded to the scene, and located the victim in the parking lot of the business suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was unresponsive but still breathing and had a faint pulse. Deputies immediately began life saving measures. Sacramento Metro Fire responded to the scene, and transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died.
The victim arrived at the gas station with a friend. Witnesses stated they heard one gunshot, and observed a dark colored SUV or truck flee the scene of the shooting. Detectives are attempting to identify a passenger in the suspect vehicle during the time of the shooting.
Pierce was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for murder. He is currently ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Sacramento Superior Court on January 3, 2017.
