Inmate Visit Registration and Information:
Dress Code: The dress code applies to ALL visitors. Visitors shall not wear any revealing clothing: Tube tops, see-through mesh materials, short skirts or shorts, micro mini skirts, tank tops with thin straps, backless or sleeveless tops, clothing that reveals the midriff or chest, or backless, sleeveless or bathing-suit style tops are not permitted. Clothing with logos that promote violence, hate, drug use, profanity, sex acts or gangs are not allowed. All visitors are required to wear footwear (shoes, sandals or boots) suitable for potentially uneven ground.

Required Visitor Identification:
All visitors over 18 years of age must present one form of picture identification as described below when registering to visit and whenever a uniformed officer requests to see it.

• Valid driver’s license or identification card from any state or Mexico, or
• A current military identification card, or
• A valid Passport, or
• A valid Alien Registration Card issued by the United States Government, or
• Matricula Consular (MCAS), Mexican ID card.

Other Visiting Requirements:
You and your vehicle are subject to search while on jail property. You will be searched (pat-down or metal detector) before you are allowed to visit.  It is your responsibility to be free of any type of metal that will activate the metal detector.  Activation of the metal detector may result in loss of visiting privileges.  

No more than three (3) persons may visit an inmate at a time; this includes minor children. No one under 18 years of age will be allowed to visit unless:

• They are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
• In possession of a certified copy of a marriage certificate.
• In possession of a certified copy of an emancipation declaration.

You will only be allowed to bring one (1) car key or door remote, identification and money. Visitors with infants may also bring in a clear plastic bag containing one (1) infant feeding bottle, one (1) diaper, one (1) baby blanket and baby wipes. No diaper bags, food, strollers or car seats will be allowed.

No storage lockers are available at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center; personal property must be secured in the visitor’s vehicle.

Persons not permitted to visit:
Certain persons are not permitted to visit:

• Any person released from the Main Jail or Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center within the last 30 days
• Any person on parole from any state
• Any person actively participating in a work release or work furlough program
• Any person who has been previously convicted of a felony which resulted in confinement in any state prison. Such persons must obtain the prior consent of the Jail Commander or Watch Supervisor (PC 4571).

• A-D Saturday 7 AM - 8 AM (registration)         Visits from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
• E-H Saturday 9 AM -10 AM (registration)         Visits from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
• I-K Saturday 11 AM – 12 NOON (registration)   Visits from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
• L-N Saturday 1 PM – 2 PM (registration)          Visits from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
• O-R Sunday 7 AM - 8 AM (registration)           Visits from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
• S-T Sunday 9 AM -10 AM (registration)          Visits from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
• U-W Sunday 11 AM – 12 NOON (registration)   Visits from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
• X-Z Sunday 1 PM – 2 PM (registration)           Visits from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Special Populations

All Pre-Trial Inmates Regardless of Housing Location
Pre-Trial inmates are allowed two (2) visits per week on any two (2) days of the week, except Friday due to operational restrictions. Registration 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM (only)
