POTENTIAL DELAYS IN PROCESSING
Due to current economic factors, the Sheriff’s Civil Division is currently experiencing an extraordinary increase in the number of requests to perform levies.  The increased workload volume along with mandated budgetary constraints has caused delays in processing levies (and everything associated with a levy) along with some document services.

If you have concerns as to when your levy will be processed please inquire as to what the “estimated” processing time might be.  Due to factors beyond our control, we cannot guarantee a specific date of service or when the process will be completed.

If you do not wish to have the Sheriff serve your documents you may contact a Registered Process Server or have anyone over the age of 18 and not parties to the action serve your documents.

If you do not wish to have the Sheriff serve your levy, you may contact a Registered Process Server to serve your levy but a file is still required, by law, to be opened in our office by the Registered Process Server and fees paid prior to the levy being performed.

Every effort will be made to process and serve all documents in a timely manner.  We appreciate your understanding and patience.
