Inmate Funds
Cashier Hours of Operation:
7:30 am to 5:30 pm
7:30 pm to 11:00 pm
7 days a week
Bail bonds are accepted 24 hours a day 7 days a week with the exception of 6:00am-8:00am and 6:00pm-8:00 pm.
Depositing money into an inmate's account:
ATM, cash, or money orders may be deposited into an inmate’s account any time that the Cashier’s Office is open (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. seven (7) days a week). The depositor must complete a facility deposit slip (located on the registration table in the Public Lobby) prior to depositing the money. Exact amount is needed (no change). Money Orders may be mailed to the address listed below under the “Correspondence” section. An example of how to fill out the deposit slip is also located at the registration table in the Public Lobby. No person released from the Main Jail or the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center within the last 30 days will be allowed to place money or request money removed from any inmates account. There are no money releases on the weekends or holidays. No rolled coins or more than $1.00 in loose change
will be accepted.

Inmate Release Funds
Effective April 9th, 2013, all individuals released from the Sacramento County Main Jail and the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center with funds will be issued a Prestige MasterCard Debit Card. Releases will no longer receive cash or checks upon release. This change will not affect transfers to other agencies: they will continue to receive transfer checks in accordance with our current Department Policy. However, that practice may change in the future and other agencies will be notified in the event of such change.
