Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department patrols all areas of the airport property. Use of bicycles allows us to patrol or quickly respond to emergencies where access by a patrol car is limited.

The Sheriff’s Department has used bicycles in many assignments and the airport has maintained a large bicycle patrol unit for 10 years. With today's concerns about fuel prices and budgets, bicycles provide a cost effective and clean way to increase patrols and safety of the airport.
