Mooring Permit

A permit issued by the Sheriff is required for any vessel to be moored, anchored, grounded, placed or otherwise located in any waterway of Sacramento County for a period exceeding fourteen (14) days. This fourteen (14) day period is consecutive and will commence upon written notice by the Sheriff.

Inspection Request
To request inspection for issuance of a Sacramento County Mooring Permit, you may use our Online Mooring Permit Request system. To request an inspection by mail you may download a copy of the Mooring Permit Application Form and mail the completed form to the following address:
