Mission:
In serving our community we strive to provide professional, effective, community- oriented law enforcement services. We are committed to working with the community to improve the quality of life for the residents and visitors to our communities.

The Northeast Division of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department provides patrol and investigative services to the communities of Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Foothill Farms and Orangevale. The Division is staffed by over 100 sworn officers and a support staff of 19. The patrol officers and detectives serving these areas work out of the Garfield Station.

The Northeast Division also maintains two Community Service Centers, located in Fair Oaks/ Orangevale and Carmichael. These are each staffed with a Sergeant, POP Officers, an Office Manager, a Crime Prevention Specialist and a staff of volunteers. These Centers provide a myriad of services to their communities.
