The Off-Duty Program is administered by the Sacramento Sheriff's Department. It allows citizens and businesses to hire deputy sheriffs for law enforcement services. Officers wear their sheriff's uniform and must abide by the practices, policies and procedures of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department.
