The Sacramento Sheriff’s Bomb Squad provides explosive ordnance disposal for all of unincorporated Sacramento County as well as the cities of Citrus Heights, Folsom, Elk Grove and Isleton. The eight man unit responds to over two hundred calls a year. Calls vary from improvised explosive devices, recovered military ordnance, commercial explosives, suspicious items, post blast investigations, and assisting with dignitary protection. All team members are highly trained graduates of the U.S. Army civilian bomb squad training school in Huntsville Alabama.

If you come across a suspected explosive device, DO NOT TOUCH IT OR MOVE IT. Call 911 and let the bomb squad safely handle the situation.
