Sacramento County Citizen Corps Council

This volunteer group was developed by the Sheriff’s Department in response to President George Bush’s call for all Americans to donate 4000 hours of volunteer time to their communities during the course of their lifetime.

The Citizen Corps Council is responsible for establishing links with the various community organizations that are responsible for direct response in the event of a major emergency or disaster and develop strategic plans in which to augment these services with citizen volunteers.
