Community Emergency Response Teams LogoCommunity Emergency Response Teams

Sheriff John McGinness and Chief Rick Martinez (Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District) have teamed up to create the Community Emergency Response Teams(C.E.R.T.). Members of C.E.R.T. will be required to complete approximately 21 hours of training spread over 7 weeks in areas such as: Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Fire Suppression, Disaster Medical Operations, Light Search and Rescue Operations, Disaster Psychology/Teamwork and participate in a simulated disaster exercise.
