The VIPS can enroll in three different modules of training (up to 40 hours) and work in the Sheriff’s Community Service Centers writing reports, answering telephones, conducting vacation checks, participating in community education and other community functions, fingerprinting children and adults for various programs and act as an extra set of eyes and ears for the Sheriff’s Department.
