The Pre-Employment Investigations Unit is responsible for screening prospective candidates for employment with the Sheriff's Department. The investigators, both sworn and non-sworn, utilize Computerized Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA) examinations, interviews, and other tools to determine suitability for employment. The unit is also responsible for all recruitment activities for the various job classifications. A Sheriff's Lieutenant oversees all aspects of the recruitment and background investigation process.
