**Update**at-Risk Missing Person

A little before 4:30 p.m. on August 13, 2019, Gilbert Klassy was located in Auburn, CA. He was evaluated by the local fire department and transported to an area hospital precautionary. He will be reunited with family.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public and news media for sharing information about Klassy.


The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating a man who was reported missing from the 5000 block of Interstate Avenue in North Sacramento.  72-year-old Gilbert Klassy was reported missing after he walked away from his residence.  Klassy was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on August 12, 2019.

Klassy (see attached photo) is described as a white male with white “crew cut” hair and blue eyes.  He is approximately 5’8” tall and 140-150 pounds. He was last seen wearing thick black frame prescription glasses, a blue shirt, blue jeans, Velcro tennis shoes, and a blue hat with “KLEIN TOOLS” written on it.  Klassy has a medical condition which causes him to become easily confused and disoriented.
