Burglary and Sexual Assault in South Sacramento

A little after 11:00 a.m. on June 14, 2017, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call regarding a burglary and sexual assault which occurred at a residence located in the area of 40th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in South Sacramento.

The suspect entered the victim’s residence through a window, and began taking property from within the house.  The suspect then located the 12-year-old female victim inside a bedroom.  The suspect began to assault the victim.  The victim fought back, and the suspect fled on foot over a fence.  Deputies responded to the scene and set up a perimeter.   A K9 search of the area was conducted with negative results.

The suspect was described as an Asian or Hispanic male adult, approximately 20 years old, 5’11” tall, thin build, with shoulder length black hair and a goatee.
