Two Injured in South Sacramento Shooting

On February 25, 2018, at 4:33 p.m. the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Communications Center received multiple 911 calls from the 6300 block of Isthmus Court in south Sacramento County.  The callers stated there was a shooting at the location and explained there were multiple parties yelling in the street.

Sheriff’s Deputies immediately responded to the location and arrived to find two victims with gunshot wounds.  The deputies also encountered numerous people outside and several were detained.  The Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded and transported both victims to area hospitals for treatment of their non-life threatening wounds.

During the preliminary stages of the investigation, deputies located one firearm and have at least one suspect in custody.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Detectives are investigating, interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, attempting to establish a motive and exactly what led up to the incident.
