Homicide Investigation on Burns Way

On June 24, 2018, at 4:07 A.M. the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department communications center received a 911 call from the 6300 block of Burns Way in south Sacramento County.  The caller indicated he arrived at a residence to check on a friend, who was not responding to calls.  The caller explained he found his friend inside the home deceased.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location and based upon the condition of the victim and the interior of the residence, believed the circumstances surrounding this death to be suspicious.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation.  At this time, this case is being investigated as a homicide and the identity of the male victim is unknown.  Sheriff’s detectives have not identified any suspects and there is no known motive.

The identity of the victim, in this case, will be made available by the Sacramento County Coroner’s office, after notification has been made to his next of kin.
