The mission of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) is to engage homeless individuals with services, along with enforcement when necessary, in order to make a positive impact in our community.

The men and women of the Homeless Outreach Team utilize unique and innovative “outside the box” approaches to connect homeless individuals and families with critical services. HOT has formed and fostered partnerships with numerous State and County agencies, as well as faith-based and private organizations, to provide service to homeless people in need.

Sacramento Sheriff’s Department HOPE

Sacramento Sheriff’s Department Homeless Outreach Partnership Event (HOPE) is an event that is organized by the Homeless Outreach Team to address local homelessness. The event is hosted several times per year at the neighborhood level. The goal of HOPE is to engage each unique homeless community and provide targeted support in that specific region of Sacramento County. HOPE partners directly connect homeless individuals and families to programs and services designed to help end their homelessness. HOPE combines State and County government services with faith-based and private organizations to make a real difference in our homeless community.

HOPE partners include:

  • Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance
  • Elica Health Centers
  • Sacramento Self Help Housing
  • Sacramento Veterans Stand Down
  • CA DMV
  • Walmart
  • Paul Mitchell Beauty School
  • And many more!
