Homicide Investigation North Sacramento

At approximately 3:09 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from the 3400 block of El Camino Avenue in the County of Sacramento regarding a shooting within a store.

Deputies arrived and located three victims who had suffered gunshot wounds. Deputies administered lifesaving medical aid. The three victims were then transported to a local area hospital by fire personnel.

A fourth male subject within the store, who based on witness statements and other evidence at the scene was identified as the suspect. He appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was declared deceased at the scene.  A firearm was located and recovered at the scene.

The motive is unknown at this time.  Homicide Detectives do not believe anyone involved is still outstanding as they continue their investigation.  The identity of the suspect will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
