Homicide Investigation on 43rd Street

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, November 1, 2020, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call regarding shots being fired near the 4000 block of 43rd Street in Sacramento County.

Deputies responded and located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.  Deputies immediately began life-saving measures as fire personnel responded.  Fire arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased hours later.

Homicide detectives are investigating.  No additional victim or suspect information is available at this time.

The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
