Update *Homicide Investigation on La Riviera Drive *Update

Homicide Detectives of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office identified Andrew Leonard Granderson (20) of Rancho Cordova, for the November 1, 2020 murders of Micah Nero (18) and Joseph Nash (18) on the 8700 block of La Riviera Drive in Sacramento.  Using evidence found at the scene and witness statements, detectives had a signed Homicide Warrant for Granderson.  Granderson was located in Las Vegas and contacted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and an FBI Task Force Team who booked him in a local Nevada jail where he awaits extradition to Sacramento County.  No further information is available at this time.

At 11:47 p.m. on Sunday November 1, 2020, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received several calls from the 8700 block of La Riviera Drive in Sacramento County regarding shots being fired.

Deputies responded to the complex to search for evidence of a shooting and were directed to a specific location.  Two adult male victims with apparent gunshot wounds were located inside a residence.  Fire arrived moments later and pronounced both victims deceased at the scene.
