Homicide Investigation on 6900 Block Stockton Boulevard

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at approximately 10:29 p.m., the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call regarding an adult male subject being shot on the side of the road.  The caller advised the victim was picked up by someone in a vehicle after being shot and driven away from the scene.

Deputies responded to the location of the shooting but did not find anyone.  Additional deputies responded to a local area hospital where they contacted a bleeding adult male walking towards them in the parking lot; this same subject was pronounced deceased a short time later by emergency medical personnel.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene investigators responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence.  No victim, suspect or further information is available at this time.
