At approximately 4:30 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024, Central Division Patrol Deputies responded to a canal near McComber Street, north of Florin Road, regarding the report of a dead body. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered a deceased adult male victim.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene, began their investigation, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. Detectives ruled the death a homicide. However, no further information is available at this time. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identification of the deceased pending notification of the next of kin.
