At approximately 10 PM on Saturday, December 8, 2024, two male suspects entered the Domino’s Pizza restaurant on Gerber Road in South Sacramento and robbed the business at gunpoint. During the incident, one suspect jumped over the sales counter, pointed a handgun at an employee, and forced her to open the safe. The suspects stole approximately $500 in cash.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Robbery Detectives began their investigation and learned 33-year-old Johnny Battle, who was on active Post Release Community Supervision out of Sacramento County, was one of the two robbers.
Yesterday (January 9), Detectives arrested Battle at a hotel in the Arden-Arcade area. Battle is currently in custody at the Sacramento Main Jail, where he remains ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 13.
This is still an active and ongoing investigation as Detectives work to identify the second suspect.
