Earlier this week, Central Patrol Division Deputies observed a stolen vehicle traveling near Florin Road and Bowling Drive in South Sacramento. When they went to pull it over, the driver, later identified as 46-year-old Tiwan Greenwade, refused to stop and led Deputies on a vehicle pursuit. A short distance later, he crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle and was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm along with several narcotics, marijuana, and pills. A records check revealed that Greenwade was on parole for manslaughter, therefore legally prohibited from possessing a firearm. He was transported and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he remained ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 18.
His booking photo is prohibited from being posted due to California law, as none of his offenses are “legally defined” as violent crimes.
