Today, we came together to honor the life and legacy of Deputy Robert “Bobby” French, whose End of Watch was August 30, 2017.

Deputy French was a “cop’s cop,” who gave everything in defense of this community. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his memory continues to guide and inspire the men and women of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

This morning, we dedicated the North Station Briefing Room in his honor. The briefing room is where Deputies begin their shifts and prepare for duty. It is also where Bobby would often hold court! It is only fitting that this room now bears his name and will be a daily reminder of his courage, service, and ultimate sacrifice.

We are grateful to Bobby’s family, friends, and partners, who continue to keep his spirit alive.
