The suspect in this case has been identified as a 34-year-old Pacific Islander male. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the suspect’s name in accordance with its protocols.

According to the caller in this incident, she identified the suspect as the same man who had fired a gun at her and her husband the previous night (10/03/26), prior to the officer-involved shooting on October 4, 2026.

The suspect’s loaded handgun was recovered at the scene of the officer-involved shooting.

Additionally, the suspect was arrested in June 2026 following an incident at the same intersection of Marconi Avenue and Eastern Avenue, where he was accused of pulling a firearm on a man and woman. The suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon involving a firearm, and a firearm was recovered at that scene as well.
