I-80 Rape Series
Detectives are investigating three sexual assaults which occurred between September 2013 and January 2014. The suspect attacked two of the victim’s as they were walking near Interstate 80 and Madison Avenue. The third victim was walking near Greenback Lane and Auburn Blvd. when she accepted a ride from the suspect who took her to the I80 and Madison Ave. area and assaulted her. The suspect is described as a black male in the age range of 20-40 years old. He has a shaved head or short afro-style haircut. He was clean shaven with a large build and wears rectangular shaped glasses. In the last assault the suspect was driving a red colored box style 4-door vehicle.
Ortiz Court, Orangevale Rape
Detectives are investigating a home burglary and sexual assault that occurred in December 2003. The unknown suspect entered a residence in Orangevale where a young female was home alone. The suspect attacked the female physically and sexually and then fled the residence. The suspect was wearing a ski mask and was described as a white male, approximately 6'02", 175 lbs., with blue eyes. The victim believed the suspect was in his twenties.
