There are also TouchPay Kiosks in the Main Jail and RCCC Lobbies. Some Retail locations also have kiosk deposit ability. Please see the TouchPay website HERE for information. Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders may be mailed to the address listed below under the “Correspondence” section. DO NOT send personal checks, government issued checks, or state/federal tax refund checks. Please do not endorse the back of the money order. Money Orders should be made payable to the inmate/detainee with their x-reference and housing location.
All deposits for Commissary Orders must be on an individual’s Trust Account before 7:00am Sunday morning for both the Main Jail and RCCC. Times are subject to change without notice.
Bail bonds are accepted from Bail Bondsmen only 24 hours a day/7 days a week with the exception of 6:00am-8:00am and 6:00pm-8:00pm.
The inmate/detainee must request from the floor officer a Property/Money Release form. They should sign the form and it will be forwarded for approval. Money Releases are reviewed Monday through Thursday. An approved money release can be picked up at the Gatehouse 7 days a week between 8am and 10pm.
ALL correspondence, including money orders, must have a return name and address and be addressed in the following manner:

Effective April 9th, 2013, any individual released from the Sacramento County Main Jail or the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center with funds on his/her account will be issued a NUMI MasterCard Debit Card. Released inmates will no longer receive cash or checks upon release. This change will not affect transfers to other agencies: they will continue to receive transfer checks in accordance with our current Office policy. However, that practice may change in the future and other agencies will be notified in the event of such change.
Use the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office online system to submit a report for some types of crimes occurring in unincorporated Sacramento County and Rancho Cordova. A valid email address is required.
