The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has safely completed the temporary closure of the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC) located at 12500 Bruceville Rd in Elk Grove due to a flood threat. This move was necessary to ensure the safety of inmates in our custody. As a result of this move, phone calls and social visits have been temporarily unavailable while inmates are relocated to the Sacramento County Main Jail, CSP-Sacramento and Solano State Prison. This housing relocation is temporary and anticipated to last for a minimum of two weeks but could continue longer depending on the weather forecast. Legal and professional visits will be continued.
